McIntyres - Stylist of the Year
25th June 2010
Untitled Document

A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of working with McIntyres stylist Ally Deacon on a project with the aim of producing an image for entry into the National Hairdressing Federation Stylist of the Year 2010 competition. Ally chose Kirsty Miller as the ideal model to help him portray his idea to the competition judges. The competition is based on photographic entries with entrants submitting one original and one enhanced image. Ally was shortlisted and attended the awards ceremony for the competition in Cardiff, and I am pleased to announce that Ally won the NHF's Stylist of the Year 2010 award!

Congratulations to Ally, and thanks for making me a part of it.

Make Your Mothers Day
27th May 2010
Untitled Document
Back in April, the Wellgate centre and Wave 102 ran a competition to award one of the most deserving mums in Dundee with a make-over, shopping vouchers and a photo-shoot. Hundreds of mothers were nominated by their children, and a winner was chosen during a live event at the Wellgate centre. Helen Jamieson visited my studio armed with clothes, shoes and accessories - Helen even got the chance to watch her photo being edited as it was important to me to ensure Helen was happy with the photo, and that we kept the image natural!

The image also appeared on a billboard on East Dock Street - Broughty Ferry Road.

Photo was snapped on my mobile, sorry it's not better quality!

Well done to Helen and thanks to the team for making me a part of it!

Simpsons Golf Shop
27th May 2010
I'm going to start making more of an effort with my blog I think...

In April I went along to Simpson's Golf Shop in Carnoustie to take some interior/exterior images. The shop went through a sizeable re-fit and I've got to admit it looks a lot more attractive now.

This photo shows the shop before the re-fit:

These images will be published in PGA Professional magazine June 2010 and online.

I have to confess that interior photography is something different for me, and requires much more involvement and an eye for detail than I would have imagined!
