Looking for Models
10th May 2009

I am looking for models to help me with building up my portfolio, and to participate in a variety of upcoming projects.

I have a few ground rules for this, so please read the following carefully before applying. You can apply via the Modelling Form.

What I am looking for:
Ideally models will be aged between 18 and 30, male or female and will be looking to build up a modelling career. You don't have to be a size zero, you just need to have confidence in yourself, and the ability to pull off different looks! It would be very helpful if you could please enclose a link to a photo of yourself (preferrably full length but head and shoulders is acceptable) along with a little information about yourself when replying. Alternatively, you can send photos from your computer to stuff[at]kirstylegg.com

What I'm offering:
I'm offering local models the chance to build up a portfolio without charging hundreds of pounds. I will do the photoshoot for free, retouch some of the best images and provide them over the internet for you to download, or on a CD. I also offer portfolio-making and printing services, which I charge reasonable prices for.

What I am not offering:
Free photography for everyone. Working with aspiring models helps me to build up my contacts for future work, and gives me practice in this area. I am not offering free family portraits or weddings etc as I am experienced enough in those areas and do not need more of this work in my portfolio for the moment.

My terms and conditions:
Please understand and accept that by law, images taken by myself are my property. If we do a photoshoot together, all I ask is that you are honest when I ask where the photos will be used, and if you decide to put them anywhere else you need my permission first. This stands for things like uploading photos to websites too. I only ask to be aware of where my work is going to be viewed, and a credit to me whenever possible. It is not much to ask in return for a free photoshoot. Be assured that I will not distibute your photos without asking you first too.

Please note the following:
I can work on-location (outdoors in a local area or in your own home) and have a small studio facility of my own as well.

This is NOT nude photography.

I always meet models before any shoots to discuss ideas, chat, and introduce myself. This gives us a chance to talk and learn more about each other.

I do not have the funds to buy you clothes for photoshoots, or a huge stockpile of outfits. Models can bring any style of clothes they like, accessories etc. and I leave decisions on what clothes to bring to the models themselves. I do have some props etc.

What to do next:
If you are interested, please fill out the modelling form, which can be found in the main menu at the top of this page. I will get back to you as soon as I can!

Website Updates
17th March 2009
I have, as you can probably see, made quite a lot of changes to my website. I moved my hosting from Clikpic to Photium, purely on the basis that Photium is a lot more flexible and offers the features that I require. It is a lot easier to update and organise galleries, along with just about everything else.

The galleries have been broadened, however they are looking a little bare because of this. Please be patient with me, I'm trying to shoot as many new images as I can in order to give you all some fresh content to look at!

I will soon be adding customised forms for weddings, portraits and potential models, along with special offers on prints, and much more. Stay tuned for the updates, and feel free to RSS away!
